Overview

This role will lead a team of Industrial Engineers and Project Managers to drive process engineering, building design/re-design/re-configuration, construction, and standardization across our Distribution, Fulfillment and Transportation network.

This individual will provide supervision to the team for leading larger and more complex projects for designing and optimizing the network, enabling operations processes to meet safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Construction Management:
    • Manage new construction of Fulfillment Centers and renovations and capacity improvements within existing facilities.
    • Completing RFQ/RFP, negotiating with external partners, contract execution, deep understanding of permitting, power and data requirements, lead retrofits.
  • Project Management and Leadership:
    • Oversee the planning, design/re-design, and construction of facilities and the renovation of existing structures.
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineers, project managers, and external vendors.
  • Engineering Design and Review:
    • Lead the engineering design process to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
    • Review and approve design documents, plans, and specifications provided by the engineering team.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with senior leadership, operations, and logistics teams to align construction projects with business objectives.
    • Maintain transparent and frequent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
    • Foster strong relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Resource Management:
    • Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to maximize project efficiency.
    • Monitor and control project costs to stay within approved budgets.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards.
    • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and environmental standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure continuous compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of Industrial & Factory planning experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 8
  • Type of Experience:
    • Engineering experience in industrial, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, architectural, robotics, production environment
    • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
    • Experience is defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
    • Experience in solution optimization, value engineering, best fit analysis (design and data), process development
    • Design and build systems to solve complex problems in existing or new areas.
    • Ability to perform Process Capability Analysis, Time Studies, Line balancing.
    • Experience in layout design in manufacturing and warehousing.
    • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time
    • Manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
    • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

*Remote: While this position does not currently require relocation, candidates within a radius of our locations in Boca Raton, FL will be required to work in the office a minimum of two to three days a week.

    Overview
