Overview

The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and recommendations to support fact based decision-making. This position is responsible for building statistical and analytical models and building databases to support go to market strategies and pricing activities. The Senior Analyst - Analytics and Profitability Initiatives also redesigns processes to make them more streamlined and efficient utilizing technologies such as SAS, VBA and .Net. The Senior Pricing Analyst will have experience in developing and managing large-scale analytical databases and will be responsible for providing strategic recommendations/reporting and interacting with cross - functional teams including Supply Chain, Sales, Merchandising, and other Pricing teams.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop insights for better decision making utilizing SAS, VBA and SQL across large, transactional databases. Provide business insights by leveraging business databases and statistical methodologies including regression models, ANOVA, choice models and econometric time series methodologies. 
  • Develop programs and processes to improve operational effectiveness of the pricing organization including management of the current data capture processes and their redesign to meet future needs. Efficiently able to redesign processes and programs leveraging programming skills. 
  • Coordinate data transfer and ETL updates into the Office Depot’s pricing databases accurately and without compromising Office Depot systems and data. Ability to work independently on large projects. 
  • Work cross functionally with IT and business leaders to deploy tools and capabilities to support pricing and margin management activities. Support maintenance of existing Access and SQL based tools. 
  • Streamline processes to capture robust information set required for decision-making and analysis. Own the data capture processes. Meet ad-hoc requests for analysis in a timely fashion

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Mathematics or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in statistics or analytics
  • SAS (Base, MACRO, advanced data management, and processing techniques, STAT, ETS, SQL) and VBA required
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint knowledge

 

*Remote: While this position does not currently require relocation, candidates within a radius of our physical locations, including, but not be limited to Boca Raton, Itasca, and Austin, will be required to work in the office a minimum of two days a week beginning in September 2024.
