Overview

The Manager, Sr. Talent Acquisition (TA) owns the field operations talent acquisition strategy and execution and is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting using creative, forward thinking, and innovative sourcing methods, to include technology and predictive analytics. 

The ideal candidate will lead and develop a team of high functioning professionals and play a key leadership role in creating a best-in-class talent acquisition team. This position leads a team of field operations recruiters during the planning and execution phases of the talent acquisition effort in an assigned business unit. Working with the Talent Acquisition team’s key strategic partners, this position ensures compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with field operations stakeholders (Regional VPs and site General Managers) as well as local human resources leaders to gain an understanding of key business objectives.  This will help develop a Talent Acquisition strategy to support field operations for current operations and developing fulfillment centers. 
  • Manage and measure work of the field operations TA team to ensure business unit talent objectives and requirements, within the specified timeframes, are met.  Oversee TA’s efforts in filling open positions to meet service level expectations
  • Be a player-coach while overseeing a team of high performing, recruiters while taking lead recruiting ownership of high-level exempt, operations positions
  • Establish ongoing relationships with business unit leaders to understand their business priorities and talent needs within the context of their mission to facilitate the teams support of filling open positions.
  • Supervise the selection process including sourcing candidates, interviewing and assessing candidates, recommending finalists, making offers, and fulfilling the staffing needs within the defined service level and performance criteria.  Recommend changes in collaboration with TA leadership to build on process improvements.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 5-7 years’ experience
  • Type of Experience: Full-cycle recruitment experience supporting operations teams in distribution, logistics, supply chain, or ecommerce fulfillment 
  • Deeply familiar with ATS (applicant tracking systems) technology platforms, Recruitment Sourcing and systems design (Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Jobvite)
  • Ability to influence cross functionally
  • Ability to connect data conceptually from various sources to develop insights and quantify ROI while meeting hiring plan goals
  • Professional demeanor and interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral
  • Technical savvy, proactive creative "outside of the box" thinker
  • Developer of talent
  • Relationship builder internally and externally
  • Resourceful and strong work ethic

    Overview
