Overview

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for driving process improvements across our Distribution, Fulfillment and Transportation network. This role will focus on identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for leading larger and more complex projects for designing and optimizing the network, enabling operations processes to meet safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing operational processes and logistics systems to identify value engineering opportunities and optimization. Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve operational issues. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented changes.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g., warehouse managers, associates, IT, etc.) to drive continuous improvement projects and ensure solutions are tailored to meet business objectives and integrated seamlessly into operations.
  • Ability to easily communicate, present and write technical documents/drawings
  • Project manage and communicate project with all stakeholders via project management tools.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new processes and best practices.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study:   A Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of Industrial & Factory planning experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5
  • Type of Experience:
    • Engineering experience in industrial, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, architectural, robotics, production environment
    • Experience in solution optimization, value engineering, best fit analysis (design and data), process development
    • Design and build systems to solve complex problems in existing or new areas.
    • Ability to perform Process Capability Analysis, Time Studies, Line balancing.
    • Experience in layout design in manufacturing and warehousing.
    • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams                       
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time
    • Manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $82,900/year to $137,650/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
